  • Warranty terms and what they actually cover

  • Written verdict: hire, renegotiate, or walk away

Best for: A real renovation you intend to move forward with, but you want additional assurance.

Managed Review

$549 one-time

I go to the contractor myself and stay involved through construction.

  • I contact your contractor directly, at your request
  • The revised quote re-reviewed at no extra cost
  • A call or FaceTime to walk through the findings and discuss next steps
  • Two follow-ups while the work is in progress

Best for: A project big enough that you'd rather have professional help.

Best for: Mechanical, plumbing, or structural work, or any project where the price depends on conditions a photograph won't show. Nassau and Suffolk County; travel beyond Long Island quoted case by case.

Refunds

  • Before I start Changed your mind, signed with someone else, or the job fell through? Email me before I've begun the review and you get the full amount back, no questions and no forms.
  • After the report is delivered If I missed something material that was there in the documents you sent me, tell me. I'll correct the report at no charge, or refund the fee if you'd rather. That's on me.

Refund requests go to chris@contractorincheck.com and are answered within five business days. Refunds return to the original card and typically take 5–10 days to appear, depending on your bank.
